Our loving wife, mother and grandmother Georgia Shirley Pope Fields, 82, was called home December 15, 2016.

Georgia was born November 16, 1934, the 5th of 9 children to Marvel and George Pope, in Ogden, Utah.

She married the love of her life, Tommy Ray Fields, on April 6, 1954.

Georgia was a supportive Air Force wife accompanying her husband on his many tours which included several countries as well as many states before settling in California.

Georgia worked as an accountant for the Military Base Exchange at Edwards Air Force base. After she and Tommy retired from their respective careers they returned to Utah, a promise made by Tommy many years ago.

Georgia made everyone she met feel special. She always saw the good and potential in a person. She was your biggest cheerleader and defender. She was often heard to say caring for her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening as well as many other hobbies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Norman, sisters Ramona, Donna, Carol, Son-in-Law M.Scott LaMoure and grandson Jackson Tyler LaMoure. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Tommy, daughters Tina (LaMoure), Kay (Keith) Jacques, her grandson and "light of her life" Matthew LaMoure;

Additionally her sisters Mildred (Wilson), Sharon (Dale) Watkins, Wanda Pope, Karla (Maki) and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at the Farr West LDS 8th Ward (1800 North, 1800 West, Farr West, UT) at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be 1 hour (10:00 AM) prior to the service. Internment will be at Wasatch Memorial Park in Salt Lake City, 3401 South Highland Dr., following a luncheon at the 8th Ward.
