Joanne Turner, 70, passed away July 1, 2009.

Born in Mississippi, she was a North Canton resident most of her life, graduating from Lake H.S. in 1956 and retiring from the Hoover Co. with 35 years service.

Joanne is together again with those she loved that preceded her in death, husband of 29 years, Dale; parents, Joe and Jewell Lovorn; brother, Harry, and sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Roger Kinsley.

She is survived by her devoted family, daughters, Darla Medal, Beth Knippenberg (David Beachy); son, Shawn (Paula) Turner; step son, Edward Turner; grandchildren, Michael Medal II, Eddie, Charlo, Nick and Zack Turner, Raquel and James Knippenberg; four great-grandchildren; brother, James (Kathy) Lovorn; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. and Monday 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, 13151 Cleveland Ave. N.W., where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m.

Burial Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville.

Memorials may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, Oh 44708.
