Joplin, Mo. - PATRICIA KAY "PATTI" WHITLOW, 53, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Monday, January 22, 2007, following a sudden illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel with Michael Lum, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Pattie was born March 17, 1953, in Anniston, Ala., the daughter of Jimmy and Frances Denson.
She married David Whitlow on June 21, 1975, in Duncan, Okla. Together, they co-owned and operated the family business, Trojan Heat Treat in Joplin. She had been a resident of Joplin since 1989.
She enjoyed buying and renovating real estate. She loved lending a hand to people in need. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grammy, daughter and sister.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, David Whitlow of Joplin; a son, heath Whitlow of Joplin; a daughter, Tabrina Whitlow of Joplin; a grandson, Kayson Whitlow of Joplin; her mother, Frances Denson of Marlow, Okla.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Glenna Whitlow of Joplin; two sisters, Diann Martin of Marlow, and Becky Plemmons of Mineola, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Denson, and three brothers, Larry, Doug and Ken Denson.
