MARION, Va. Preston Hershal Heath, 86, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at his home. Preston was the last surviving child of Avery and Oakie Heath. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Florence "Penny" Heath of the home; two sons, Trent Heath and wife, Libby of Marion, and Gary Heath and wife, Lisa of Chilhowie; three grandchildren, Carma Lynne Heath of Lexington, Ky., Justin Heath and wife, Monica of Pulaski, Va., and Jacob Heath and wife, Jamey of Evans, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Heath, Jaxson Heath, and Noah Preston Heath. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017m at the Cleghorn Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Wesley Eller officiating. Burial will follow in the Cleghorn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Peggy Owens, Peggy Brooks, and to the Hospice of Southwest Virginia.
