Jennifer Sue Byrd

Jennifer Sue Byrd, 54, died peacefully on February 22, with loved ones at her side. Jenny enjoyed a full, happy life surrounded by love from her family, most especially from her devoted mother Mildred Byrd and her second mom, Andree Byrd, who joyfully stepped into the mother role 14 years ago when Jenny lost her mom. Andree's love and dedication to Jenny is extraordinary and inspiring. Others who played an important role in Jenny's life are Lisa Blankenship and Anita Cameron, both Arc Gateway employees and truly angels on earth. Arc Gateway offered Jenny education, work, and living opportunities throughout her life and is an exceptional organization providing vital services in our community. Jenny is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred E. Byrd, father, Argus D. Byrd, and sister, Julie Byrd. She is survived by her brothers James Byrd (Etta), Jeff Byrd (Andree), and sister Jacquie Wallace (Ken). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Arc Gateway or Covenant Care in memory of Jenny.
