Mrs. Mable Marie Boyd, age 83, of the Fork Ridge section of Raven, VA passed away Saturday February 25, 2017 at Bluefield, WV. Born at Richlands, VA she was the daughter of the late Elihu & Vergie Honaker Armes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Boyd; infant daughter Deborah Kay Boyd, grandson Bryan Anthony Boyd, sister Dorothy Hylton and brothers Junior, Tivis, Curt, Darris, Dallas and Tommy Armes. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Trinity Tabernacle.
She is survived by her children Carol Absher & husband Larry of Cedar Bluff, VA, Linda Dingess & husband Robert of Hamlin, WV, Freda Thomas & husband Don of Bluefield, WV, Shirley Carroll & husband Glenn of Springville, VA, Joe Boyd & wife Diane of Raven, VA, Jim Boyd & wife Diana of Sevierville, TN, Jerry Boyd & wife Jo Jo of Martinsburg, WV; 9 Grandchildren Missy, Terri, Sonyea Beth, Russell, Charlene, Chris, David, Brandon and Sidney; 10 Great Grandchildren Gracie, McKenna, Carrie, Braxton, Autumn, Ada, Myra, Hunter, Jamie and Bubby; three sisters Betty Deel, Alice Armes and Wanda Richardson & husband Don and one brother Ralph Armes & wife Kay; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends after 12:00 noon Monday February 27, 2017 at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA with funeral services to follow at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. James Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Chambers Family Cemetery at Davis Mountain, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
