Virginia Andrews Brown Dugger, age 83, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Optim Medical Center Millen.
She was born in Screven County on August 19, 1933 to Solomon Sylvester Andrews and Lizzie Mae Walker.
Lovingly known as “Grandma Brown”, she loved her very large family more than anything on earth. She retired from day care in 1999 and held a special place in all of the many kids lives that she touched. An avid Atlanta Braves fan, she also enjoyed spending time “going fishing” every chance she got.
She was a faithful member of the West Millen Baptist Church where she had a great love for her church and church family. She was a member of the Ladies I Sunday School class, Witness Workers Women’s Missionary Union, and S.W.A.T. Team Senior Citizens Group.
As much love as she had for her family, friends, and the people of this community, there was no doubt that her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It showed in the words, thoughts and actions of her everyday life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. on Sunday and the funeral service at 11:00 a. m. Monday at West Millen Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to West Millen Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 599, Millen, GA 30442.
