60, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Connelly Springs, NC surrounded by his family.
He is survived by a son, Michael Eugene Morehead Jr. and wife Cynthia of Connelly Springs, NC, five daughters, Shannon Robinson, Jennie Morehead, Kimberly Morehead, Tabitha Morehead and Catlin Robinson and husband Nick, ten grandchildren, Heather and Wesley Morehead, Zackary and Halie Robinson, Jason Riddle, Brandon Yarborough, Adryanna, Kyleigh and Bryson Robinson, Brooklynn Sparks, two great grandchildren, Haylee and Bradlee Allman, brothers, Steve Morehead and wife Debbie of Morganton, NC, and Ivy Morehead of Shelby, NC.
Born July 13, 1956 in Cleveland County, Mr. Morehead was the son of the late Marvin and Elizabeth Hamrick Morehead and was preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany Gwen.
Mr. Morehead enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, and watching Nascar. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2017 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Allen King. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.
