Pearl Arendt, 91, of McLean County Nursing Home, Normal, formerly of 1009 S. Center St., died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Mennonite Hospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1889, in Danvers, to Owen and Martha Fowler Beeler and married Martin Arendt June 24, 1911. He died Dec. 17, 1971.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and a life member of the Keystone Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She derived great pleasure from collecting dolls, antique furniture, dishes, glassware, and music boxes and also from growing tulips and other beautiful flowers.
Surviving are a son, Albert, 209 Tanner St.; a sister, Florence Beeler, McLean Co. Nursing Home; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A brother, Guy Beeler, preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beck Memorial Home followed by funeral service at 1 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Roy Reiswig.
Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
