HATTIE VETTING
Hattie Vetting, the 17-year old daughter of Wm. Vetting in Manitowoc
Rapids, died Thursday last week of pneumonia. Just a few days earlier an 11-year old
child in that family died of diphtheria. The funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon
in Newton.

DIED:
Twice within a period of less than a week was the home of Mr. and
Mrs. William Vetting of Manitowoc Rapids visited by death, the second
death in the sorely-stricken home occurring last Thursday, when Miss
Hattie Vetting, aged seventeen, died of pneumonia. On Saturday, Feb. 17,
the remains of the 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vetting were
buried, the death having resulted from diphtheritic croup. The parents,
with seven children, survive. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon
from the home, interment taking place at Newton. The bereaved parents
have the sympathy of neighbors and friends in their affliction.
