SHREVEPORT, LA – A Memorial Service for Larry Len Williford, 65, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. followed by the memorial service. Officiating will be Daniel Nelson, Life Group Pastor of The Simple Church. Larry was born June 21, 1951, in Albuquerque, NM to Milda Eoline Stone and Donald Eugene Williford and passed away February 23, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. He was a proud graduate of the class of 1969, Fair Park High School. Larry followed in his father’s footsteps as a salesman. Restaurant food sales was his first love. Later he discovered sales in furniture was a great way to spend his time before retirement. “Old salesman never die, they just go out of commission”. Larry loved working in the yard and was meticulous about weed control. His favorite flower was Alyssum that grew everywhere.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother Gary Williford. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, LeNelle Marie Ross Williford of Shreveport, LA, mother, Milda E. Williford of Shreveport, LA; son, Daniel Eric Williford of Arizona; daughter, Lisa Michelle Holmes of Dallas, TX; uncles, Leon Stone and wife Charlene, Jack Stone and wife Judy, James Stone; nephew, Doug Austin; his four-legged children, Sunny and Kiowa; and other relatives and friends.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his nephew Doug Austin; friends, David Goodman, Chris Butts, Darrell and Tina Balentine, Pat Parks and employees from Bewley’s Furniture.
