OBITUARY :
MRS. JANET "PAULINE" (REED) FORD, 87, formerly of Honodel Road, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Cross Keys Village, New Oxford, PA.

Born July 26, 1929 in Mont Alto, PA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin S. and Dorcas V. (Nunemaker) Reed. Mrs. Ford was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro. Although she resided with her daughter in Spring Grove, PA for the past three years.

Mrs. Ford was a graduate of Quincy High School with the Class of 1947.

She and her husband, the late Clayton W. "Jack" Ford, Sr. were married September 4, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Ford passed away September 13, 1982.

Mrs. Ford was employed as a seamstress at Stanley Manufacturing Company, Chambersburg, PA until the 1970s. She was later employed at K-Mart in Waynesboro in customer service from 1985 until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of the Wayside Baptist Church, Leitersburg, MD. Mrs. Ford was devoted to her family and her church.

She is survived by three children, Clayton "Jack" Ford, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Mount Wolf, PA, Patricia F. Smith and her husband Bryan of Spring Grove, PA, and Gwendolyn F. Arevalo of York, PA; six grandchildren Christopher Ford and his wife Bobbie, Sara Smith, David Smith, Jeremiah Arevalo and his wife Amy, Danielle Blystone and her husband Sherman, and James Arevalo; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her twin-sister Dorcas Irene (Reed) Kendall; and number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband she is preceded in death by three brothers, Levi Reed, Kenneth Reed, and Edmond Reed; four sisters, Susan Mong, Charlotte Mong, Gladys Staley, and Martha Carbaugh; and son-in-law, Joe Arevalo.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA with the Pastor Jeremy Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning in the funeral home.
