Patricia “Patty” Ann Miller, age 52, of Hamilton lost her one year battle with stage 4 lung and kidney cancer. She passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her Hamilton home with her family by her side.

She was born on May 21, 1964 in Angola to Wilford and Carol (Wagoner) Miller.

She grew up in Ashley and graduated from DeKalb High School in 1982.

Patty and her longtime partner Andrea Henson were married on June 6, 2015.

She worked mostly in factories until several years ago. At that time she went to work at Avalon Village in Ligonier. She liked working with and helping the nursing home residents in their daily activities. She loved taking in the beauty that the different states in this country have to offer. She also enjoyed working with wood crafts, playing cards and games and spending time with her family. Patty was the love of our lives. She was taken way to early. We will always hold a piece of her in our hearts.

Survivors include: Her wife; Andrea Henson of Hamilton; Daughter; Carol Jane “CJ” Bessler of Erlanger, Kentucky; Brother and sister-in-law; Ed and Kitty Miller of Kendallville; Brother; Bryan Miller of Fort Wayne; Brother and sister-in-law; Phil and Jessi Miller of Ashley; Sister; Vicki Herbert of Hamilton; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Brian and Sheila Henson of Indianapolis; Brother-in-law; Dave Henson of California; Brother-in-law; Bobby Henson of Milford, Indiana; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Carla and Brent Cavender of Leesburg, Indiana; Many nieces and nephews; Chad Shumaker and family of Hamilton; Adam and Jen Shumaker and family of Michigan; Kami Miller of Fort Wayne; Karlee Miller of Ashley; Ben and Erica Miller and family of Fort Wayne; Cindy Everage and family of Kendallville; April Smolek of Wawaka; Bob and Judy Bortner and family of Kendallville.

Patty was a true dog lover and their family dog Peanut will be lost without her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece; Brittney Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.

Officiating the memorial service will be Pastor Percy Young.

Memorials may be directed to family to help with funeral expenses or Heartland Hospice of Fort Wayne.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Waterloo.
