Johnny Lee Collins, age 66, of Robertson County, Kentucky, died peacefully Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Robertson County Health Care Facility, in Mount Olivet, Kentucky. Born in Robertson County on April 2, 1950, to the late Elmer and Louise Boner Collins, he was farmer, a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church and a loving brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Collins spent his life helping family and friends alike. He never met a stranger and enjoyed walking everywhere up until being diagnosed with cancer in 2016.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: a sister, Shirley Mastin; three brothers, Raymond Collins, Frank Collins and Gene Collins; and three nephews, Ronnie Collins, Terry Collins and Rodney Insko. He is survived by: three sisters, Rosie Smith, of Robertson County, and Marie White and Mae Insko, both of Mason County; a host of nieces and nephews; and many beloved neighbors.. Prior to his death, Mr. Collins asked to send a special thank you to his primary caregivers: a sister, Rosie Smith; a nephew, Tony Collins, and wife, Lawanda; and a niece, Shelley Smith. A special thank you for all they did to: Eric Mastin and wife, Staci; a niece, Sandi Edwards, and husband, Danny; and his home health nurses, Jan Evans and Christal Barbour.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Danny Howard, with visitation at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Robertson County Funeral Home towards funeral expenses. Pallbearers will be Danny White, Eric Mastin, Tony Collins, Jim Conners, Larry Adamson and Danny Edwards.
