Jeremiah B. Ellis died Wednesday, February 17, 1915 at his home. Jeremiah was born in the town of Middlefield, Otsego County, NY, Saturday, April 9,1831. The following year he moved with his parents to Napoli, Cattaraugus, NY and settled on the farm where he resided for 84 years and died after a short illness of pneumonia. In 1870, he was married to Miss Lucy M. Jacobs of Napoli. To this union five children were born, four of whom survived him, namely; M.E. Ellis of Johnsonburg, Wyoming County, NY; Mrs. Anna Conklin of Mansfield, Cattaraugus, NY; W.B. Ellis of Napoli and Mrs. Fanny R. Comstock of East Randolph, Cattaraugus, NY. The funeral services were held at his late residence Friday afternoon, April 19, 1915 with the Rev. W.F. Collier of East Randolph, Cattaraugus, NY officiating. Burial was made in the Pigeon Valley Cemetery.
