Dennis P. Favale, 75 of Addison, IL passed away in Winfield, IL.

Entrepreneur, packaging business owner & real estate investor Dennis Favale got his start in the industry by working as an industrial engineer in Johnson & Johnson’s packaging and fulfillment division in the late 1960s, work record traces back to 1960 from working as a lab technician at Borg-Warner to working as a police officer in Bellwood, IL, a truck driver was his additional work. He was credited in cost-savings while at Johnson & Johnson with perimeter racking.

Through his work at J&J, Dennis identified an opportunity for a business that specializes in performing packaging, fulfillment, and assembly operations. Contract Packaging Associates was founded in 1974 and moved into its facility in 1986 on 3003 Hirsch Street. He was the CEO til late 2013. A number of the original employees remain with the company today that merged under a different brand.

Born May 16th of 1941 in Chicago to Francesco "Frank" Favale & Philomena "Mona" Papia that resided on 3046 Arthington St. on the Southside of the city. His father immigrated from Gioia del Colle, Italy to New York in 1920, his mother was from Manhattan, New York born to Italian immigrants. He was the 3rd child, graduated from Proviso East High School in 1959, Mr. Favale was a eventual alma mater from Chicago's DePaul University (B.S. in Commerce/Marketing, 1971). Married Nancy Ripani the daughter of WWII veteran Mr. Fred Ripani & Florence Buzzelli on November 23rd of 1963 @ Saint Simeon from Bellwood. Brother of late Angelique Schuler (1934-2001) of Oak Park & Tom Favale (1935-2002) of Saint Charles.

He's the father of 3; Michael, David & Christopher.

Grandfather of 4; Anthony, Jeremy, Theresa & Christopher Jr.

1st married to Nancy Ripani & had a companion Diana that took care of him along with his children portraying a care role as well.
