Mary Ann Lockwood

STEAMBURG - Mary Ann Lockwood, 82, of Route 394, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 12, 2017) at home after a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born April 19, 1934, on her family's dairy farm on Underwood Corners in the town of Coldspring, a daughter of the late Laurence Lockwood and Lovisa N. Burr Lockwood.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Randolph Central School, she later worked as a secretary for the Queensboro Farm Products plant in Steamburg and worked on the Lockwood family dairy farm. She was the current co-owner of the This 'n That Shoppe in East Randolph.

Mary Ann was a member of the Faith Bible Chapel in Randolph and had formerly attended the Steamburg Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Salamanca United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many family functions and hosting with her siblings their annual Corn Roast.

She is survived by three sisters, Jane Young of Punxsutawney, Pa., Marlene (Walt) Nieman of Steamburg and Cheryl Lockwood of Randolph; two brothers, Robert and Charles Lockwood of Randolph; and many nieces and nephews, Paul Young, Wayne (Missy) Young and Toni (Buzz) Lewis of Pennsylvania, Sharon (Tim) OíNeill, Larry (Monica) Nieman and Brian Nieman of Randolph, and Beverly (Robert) Ryan and Jeff (Patti) Smith of Allegany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Smith.

Burial will be in the Steamburg Cemetery.
