Albert Edward Fenemore and family immigrated to Canada from England in 1905. The family settled in Milton, Ontario. Albert Edward eventually moved to Galt, Ontario where he married Ethel Kate Wiseman in 1915. They moved to Toronto where he was actively involved in training Marathon runners. He was connected with the Monarch Athletic Club, training runners like Percy Wyer and Vic Callard for the Olympic games in 1932 and 1936.

Albert joined up in 1941 and was with the Canadian Engineers Unit in England when he was killed as a result of "injuries due to an explosion of military stores & explosives in an army truck in which he was a passenger". This took place on Epsom Common in Epsom, England.

It is interesting to note that Albert Edward's year of birth was 1894 and yet his Canadian death records show him as having been born in 1902. This would have made him less than 40 when he joined up and according to family members is the kind of he would have wanted to do. In actual fact, in 1941 he was already 47!
