Mr. Burkhart became worse tht evening and consulted with a physician but as he did not improve by Thursday, he called in his sister, Mrs. Harry Flowers, who was with him when he passed away at 1:45 that afternoon. His wife was notified and returned home immediately.

Besides his wife, who was Miss Nellie Kearney, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Marcella Thimnes of Chicago, and a stepson, Mr. John F. Murphy, Washington, DC.
