At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton on Tuesday, March 25, 1986, Charles Roy Armstrong. Age 91, son of the late Malcolm and Sarah (Belyea) Armstrong.
Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home, Midland from where funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 pm. Entombment in Bayview Community Vault, Hatfield Point with interment in Cody's Baptist Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday.

Charlie had a younger brother: William Elias Armstrong who married Bertha Belle Verille. People who knew Charlie had said he never talked about his brother or his parents.

Charlie worked for most of his adult life as a gardener for Anna and Judson Hetherington at Hetherberton, until the mid 1950's when Anna sold the Hetherberton property. Before she sold the property, she gave Charlie the "Last Chance" property that she owned near the Cody Station. The property had an old house on it and Charlie lived there until his old age. When he could no longer care for himself, Myrtle (Perry) and Russell Northrupt took care of him until his death.

Charlie never married.

Gravesite Details

Charlie was buried with no headstone, he was buried on the edge of the woods and his plot is marked with a stake and orange ribbon. His headstone was donated Oct 2018 by Arthur Thorne.
