Married to Nellie and buried beside her at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau County, MO. I had to add this memorial because the other memorial that is out there is in the wrong cemetery. I had notified the person but they never changed the location.

JACKSON - Charles J. McDowell, 87 years old, a retired farmer and stockman, died early Sunday In a Fredericktown hospital.

Mr. McDowell was born on Oct. 13, 1879, in Cape County. He farmed in the Fruitland community retiring about 10 years ago and moving to Cape Girardeau.

He was married in 1907 to Miss Nellie Howard, who died April 1, 1965. Mr. McDowell was a member of the Maple Avenue Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Surviving are four sons, James McDowell, Cape Girardeau, Elliott McDowell and Lloyd McDowelI, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Orville McDowell, Bismarck: three daughters, Mrs. Glenn Whitledge, Jackson Route 1, Mrs. Ralph Workman, Adrian, and Mrs. Raymond Chapman, Tonawanda N. Y.: a brother, Judge J. C. McDowell, Charleston, 19 grand-children and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home here.

Burial will be in Memorial Park.
