Marilyn McDonald Gardner, age 85, passed away peacefully in her home in South Jordan, Utah on February 19, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was loved deeply by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Marilyn was born on January 9, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Gaillard McDonald, Jr. and Mary Rella Chambers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her giving spirit and creativity. Her family will cherish the many quilts and handmade items she made for them. Her passion in life was genealogy and she and her husband Mac served many family history missions for the LDS church.

She is survived by her husband McRae "Mac" Gardner and her children, Steve Silver (Jill), Nancy Tehero (Jim), Vickie Levinson (Doug) and Stacy Gregerson (Scott), Mac's seven children as well as their 38 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and her brother Michael McDonald. She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, James Gaillard McDonald III and Richard McDonald.

The viewing and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. The viewing will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The service will begin at 1:oo pm. at the Founders Park Stake Center, 11685 S Kestrel Rise Rd (4510 W), South Jordan, Utah
