Carole Wilson, born November 14, 1941 in Sacramento, CA, passed into heaven February 12, 2017 at the age of 75.

Carole spent her childhood summers in Sierra Valley and winters in Wheatland on her family's ranch where she developed a great love for the beauty of the Sierra Valley and family.

She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1959 in Marysville, CA where she excelled in baseball, volleyball, and basketball.

Carole resided in Lodi from 1974-1996, before moving back to her family's ranch in Wheatland, CA. While living in Lodi, she was an active member of St. Anne's Church and the P.E. teacher for St. Anne's School where all five of her children attended.

Her greatest loves in life were her family and ranching. She lived her life as a true matriarch, bringing together a tribe of family and friends that reached across many miles and generations forever changing the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents Carroll and Marie Wilson and her brother Jim Wilson.

She is survived by her devoted sister Kathleen Jones; her five children Helene Hyllen, Mike Hyllen and wife Kristi Hyllen, Brian Hyllen, Katrina Hyllen-Davenport and husband Tom Davenport, and April Hergert and husband Kyle Hergert; and her four grandchildren, Alicia, Courtney, Jacob, and Conner.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Saint Daniel's Catholic Church, 412 Main Street, Wheatland, CA. A reception in celebration of Carole's life will be held at Pioneer Hall, corner of 4th and B Street in Wheatland, following internment at Wheatland Cemetery.
