Death of Wiley Mays.

On Tuesday of last week, Wiley Mays, one of the oldest settlers of Ray county, died at his home near Knoxville, in his 88th year. He had been a citizen of Ray county since 1834, having come here from Tennessee. He was a man of a genial, bright and pleasant temperament, a good neighbor, and steadfast friend. Strictly honorable and honest in all his dealings, just in his judgment and full of love and charity towards mankind, his death is universally mourned, as all feel that the neighborhood has lost one of its best citizens.
