German Soprano vocalist. She was a well-known soprano who made her singing debut in 1849 as Lucreza Borgia in Donizetti's Opera. She was born in Hamburg, Germany where she trained her voice before traveling to London in 1858, appearing as Valentine in "Les Huguenots". She settled in England and received great acclaim for her performances there. Her most famous roles were Fidelio Medea (in Charubini's opera) and Donna Anna in "Don Giovanni".
