Wezley Tyler “Smurf” Tugman, age 33, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. He was born May 7, 1983 in Caldwell County to James Winford Martin and Diane Tugman. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jatay Grant.
Mr. Tugman was employed by Construction Attachments, he was a member of The Life Center Mennonite Brethren Church, and attended The Favor Center.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his fiance, Tabori Hawkins of the home; two sons, Daysen Tyler Tugman and Denim Wezley Tugman of the home; one step-son, Taylib Howell of the home; three brothers, Terry Lynn Tugman of Lenoir, Cardowna W. Martin of Oak Grove, KY, and Lamont Barber of Boomer; one sister, Winter Lanett Tugman of Lenoir; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at The Life Center Mennonite Brethren Church conducted by Rev. James Wilfong and Rev. Terry Hunt. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
