Elizabeth "Debbie" Buchanan was born July 27, 1925 in Manor, Georgia to the now late Willie Scott and Ethel Venters. She passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 in Tallahassee at the age of 91.
Debbie as she was most affectionately known, was a longtime resident of Franklin County before moving to Marianna. She worked at Brown Elementary, was an Eastern Star; and a faithful member of the Eastpoint Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Scott Buchanan (wife Sherrie); daughter Pattie Peacock; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 14 at Magnolia Cemetery in Apalachicola with the Rev. George Schmidt officiating.
