Glenda Sue Rainbolt Whitley, 75 years of age, of New London, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home in New London, surrounded by her loving family.
Glenda was born January 21, 1942 in Oklahoma to the late Gordon Henry Rainbolt and the late Una Ann Baker Rainbolt. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Marvin D. Rainbolt, and his wife, Mary Leveta Thrash Rainbolt, and their daughter, Heather Gay Rainbolt.
The family will celebrate the life of Glenda at a private gathering on Sunday.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Wayne Thomas Whitley of New London; daughter, Dee Dee Harris, and Richard Capel, both of Troy; son, Kel Harris, and his wife, Dawn Pilot Harris, of Star; and son, Wayne Whitley, Jr. of Cary; six grandchildren, Kasey Renae Harris, Trenten Reid Harris, Clayton Thomas Harris, Megan Danielle Lewellen, Tylor Mackenzie Whitley, and Daniel Elijah Harris; and two great grandchildren, Ember Rose Lewellen, and Brenlee Ann Harris; and two nieces, Tamara Rainbolt Fulton of Kansas, and Kelley Rainbolt Lawrence of OK; and her feline friend, Fluffy.
