Billy Joe Waldron, 75, of Avondale, WV, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 19, 2017, after a short illness.

Billy was born March 9, 1941, a son of the late Edward "Ed" Waldron (1915-Deceased) and Gladys Marie Murray-Waldron (1906-1985). He was a retired coal miner and loved raising chickens and showing horses.

In addition to his parents Billy Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Phyllis June McDonald-Waldron (1941-1991) whom he married on May 21, 1959 in Avondale, McDowell County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, McDowell County, WV, 1959, Page 145, Application Date: May 18, 1959); and one sister, Ella Jane Waldron-Labarre (1939-1979).

Survivors include one daughter, Dedria Lynn Waldron-Graham and husband Walter Graham of Abbs Valley, VA; two sons, Billy Ray Waldron and wife Pamela Waldron of Avondale, WV, and Rodney Phillip Waldron and wife Jennifer Waldron of Avondale, WV; one sister Virgie Waldron-Stinson of Avondale, WV; eight grandchildren, Chase Graham of Abbs Valley, VA, Chasity Crouch of Manassas, VA, Amy Lee of Avondale, WV, Phyllis Gale Waldron of Bluefield, WV, Billy Ryan Waldron of Bluefield, WV, Annaleice Waldron of Avondale, WV, Rodney Joshawn of Avondale, WV, Angeline Nicole Morgan of Oceana, WV; and six great grandchildren, Logan Lee, of Avondale, Landon Crouch of Manassas, VA, Brooklyn Crouch of Manassas, VA, Peyton Lee of Avondale, WV, Boston Crouch of Manassas, VA and Hunter Graham of Abbs Valley, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted, Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 1:00 with Reverend Randall Brickey and Reverend Danny Bowles officiating at the Independent Church of God in Ritter, WV. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery on Crane Ridge near Avondale, WV.
