A lifetime resident of Craven County, Robin was a longtime EMT and volunteer firefighter with Tri-Community FD and worked at Food Lion until illness prevented her.
Never one to sit still, she was a volunteer with Colonial Capital Humane Society, and would always keep her exercise regime at Courts Plus.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Pollock~Best Funeral Home and other times at her parents' home. A celebration of Robin's life will be 2 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Pollock~Best Chapel with Rev. MacDonal Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
Robin is survived by her parents, Wanda S. Parks and Robert E. "Woody" Parks, of Trent Woods, NC; her brothers, Robert P. Parks, and wife Cresta, of New Bern, NC and Stephen R. "Steve" Parks, and wife Becky, of Maysville, NC; along with her nieces Jessica Parks and Kalle Anne Parks.
