Stanley Spencer Gordon was born on September 21, 1925 in Lake City, Iowa to William and Carrie (Spencer) Gordon. He graduated from Westview High School in Lake City in 1942 and served in the United States Army from 1946-1947. On March 25, 1972, Stanley married Bette Vavrock in Lake City. He was a 50 year member of the NRA, and also the Lake City Union Church, Rapid Rider Motorcycle Club in Glidden, American Legion, and the Lions Club where he served as President for a year and Treasurer for 15 years.
Stanley is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bette, brothers Ralph and Marion and sisters Maxine McCaulley and JoAnn Dalcourt.
