William Ray Crisp Sr., 81 passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 24, 1921 in Florence, Texas.
He was a retired Army veteran in the World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Hess Terminal and Saybolt Inspection Company. He was a member of Parkdale Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Gay Crisp, Elvie Crisp, Lenard Crisp, three sisters; Beulah King, Cleo Allen, Faye Burgess and a son-in-law Michael Neet.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Betty J. Crisp, one daughter of Hanson, Massachusetts, one son of Round Rock, a sister Renee Adams of Corpus Christi, a brother Vernon L. Crisp (Shirley) of Corpus Christi, a daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Seaside Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2002 at Seaside Chapel with an entombment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. In Lieu of Flowers, please make memorial contributions to Vista Care Hospice or to Parkdale Baptist Church Building Fund.
