Mary Frances Lower, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Golden Living Center. She was born December 9, 1934, in Stockton, Missouri, a daughter of the late Carl Christopher and Pauline (Burns) Sanders. She was married to Donald Lower, who preceded her in death.

Mary worked for Shoe Factory in Eldon, Von Hoffman Press in Jefferson City, Chesebrough Ponds in Jefferson City, and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, playing with her dogs, going for walks, riding bikes, fishing, camping, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by five children: Myrle Wayne Shaw (Nelda) of El Dorado Springs, MO; Jeff Evers (Jeanni) of Jefferson City; Paul Evers (Reba) of Fairbanks, Alaska; Tony Evers (Missy) of Jefferson City; and Patricia Evers of Jefferson City; seven siblings: Bob Burns, Bill Burns, Ruth Woods, Dean Burns, Pat Burns, John Burns, Jim Burns; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two children: Paula Shoults and Elaine Mauzy; two grandchilden: Willard Charles Evers, Jr and Mark Evers; one sister: Connie Woodling and one brother: Raymond Burns

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
