Keith "Big Daddy" Powell

Keith W. Powell age 46, of Wilmington passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Friday February 17, 2017.
Keith grew up in West Chester, PA and loved his Philadelphia Eagles, NASCAR, politics, spending time with family and his four-legged friends Lily and Josie, but most of all with his beautiful wife and soul mate, Luanne - his "Buttercup."
Keith is survived by his devoted wife, Luanne Lyons Powell; his mother, Helen Powell; brother, John Powell (Joan); his loving in-laws, Mary Lou Lyons, Ray Lyons (Nancy), Jim Lyons, Kathy Barry (Patrick) and his nieces, Nora and Jen. He was predeceased by his father, John Powell brother, Steve "Cryppy" Powell and his brother- in- law, Tim Lyons.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday Feb 22, from 6 to 9 pm at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington. Additional parking for the viewing will be available in the YMCA parking lot off of Mt. Lebanon Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday February 23 at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington. Burial will follow in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Keith's memory be sent to the B+ Foundation @ bepositive.org.
Big Daddy's fighting spirit and positive attitude were an inspiration to everyone and he will be sorely missed. His bright light will shine down on us forever…Fly Eagles Fly!!
