Ray Dale Campbell, 83, of Penn Township, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at ConcordiaCare in Cabot.

He was born November 6, 1933 in Butler, the son of the late Orrin H. and Pearl (Schroth) Campbell.

Ray graduated from Butler High School in 1951. He then went to work at Pullman Standard where he was payroll and benefits Supervisor, staying 2 years beyond the closing of Pullman. He also served as a Junior Achievement Advisor, on the Junior Chamber of Commerce and was in the Industrial Management Club. Ray served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958, spending 14 months in Germany with the 103 Armored Division.

He enjoyed bowling and golfing. He started golf when he used to thumb rides from Butler to Penn Township to work as a caddy at the Butler Country Club for many years. Ray and his wife, Shirley enjoyed dining out with friends all over PA and Ohio.

Ray is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife whom he was married to for exactly 40 years and 2 weeks, Shirley (Huselton) Campbell who died on August 27, 2006. Also preceding him are a brother and 3 sisters.

Burial in the Greenlawn Burial Estates Mausoleum.
