Mrs. Fannie Lee Jones Holt, 94, of Skyline, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Rosewood Manor. She was born in Jackson County, Alabama on October 30, 1922 to the late George and Lille Jones. She worked for Benham’s Mill in Scottsboro, Alabama until she retired.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. from Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Skyline Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband and parents. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Curt) Weise; son, Jones (Gail) Holt; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Margaret (HC) Wade; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Holt; her parents, George and Lillie Jones; daughter, Patricia Gail Simmons; grandson, Stephen Todd Weise; sister, Ida Bell Derrick; and brothers, James (Tot) Jones, John (Bud) Jones, George (Tommy) Jones, Talton Jones, Harold Jones.
