Mrs. Mattie J. (Hochstedler) Miller, 75, of Route 2, Shipshewana, three and one half miles east of Middlebury, was found dead in her bed this morning. Leland Frurip, LaGrange county coroner, reported death due to a heart attack. She had appeared to be in good health previous to the attack.

Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 16, 1874, in LaGrange county and was married Sept. 19, 1893 in Hutchinson, Kans. to Christ Miller. He preceded his wife in death. Mrs. Miller had resided with a son, Joseph Miller, for the last three and a half years, moving there from Clinton township.

Surviving are three sons, Joseph, with whom she resided, Harvey of Medford, Wis. and Levi of Kalona, Ia.; two brothers, Menno Hochstedler, Middlefield, O., and John Hochstedler, Carthage, Tenn; a sister, Mrs. Noah (Mary) D. Frye, of Lagrange; 33 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Fiiends may call at the Joseph Miller home this evening and until Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Elmer Miller home three miles east of Middlebury. The Revs. Henry Miller, Christ Miller and Perry Nisley will officiate. Burial will be in Nisley cemetery about five miles east of Goshen.
