Ina was a member of Cedar Valley National Evangelical Lutheran Church, VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She enjoyed knitting homemade Finnish Slippers and flower gardening.
In addition to both of her husbands, Ina was preceded in death by one son, Edward Heikkila; brothers, John, Roy and Ray Mackey; sisters, Ingrid Hocking and Anna Wenstrom; and grandson, Jesse Peterson.
She is survived by one son, David (Lea) Heikkila of Hinnerjoki, Finland; two daughters, Mary Peterson of Carlton and Susan Vincent of Duluth; daughter-in-law, Barb Heikkila of Caribou Lake; six grandchildren, Shayne Vincent, Mia Heikkila, Jasie Peterson, Seth, Luke, and Courtney Heikkila; and four great grandchildren, Preston, Paris, Pierce and Piper Peterson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Viewcrest Health Center for their loving and compassionate care for Ina.
Visitation: 10 until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service Thursday, February 23, 2017 in New Life Community Church in Floodwood. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Cemetery.
