Gertrude Caroline Rogers, 84, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Grape Creek Cemetery.

Gertrude was born in the town of Scio, New York, to the late Clarence Oliver Bailey and Letha Mildred Taylor Bailey. In 1953, Gertrude married Jack Rogers. Gertrude always had her door open for those who wanted to come by for a cup of coffee and a good conversation. She was the best cook, best card and wahoo player.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Field and Evelyn Geffers.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack Rogers, of San Angelo; daughter, Cheryl Rogers, of San Angelo; son, Jack Rogers and wife, Jackie, of San Angelo; grandchildren, Sarah Wallace and Shane, of San Angelo, and Derek Rogers and Emily, of Sonora; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Estes, Logan Malley, Jack Owen Rogers, Hannah Rogers and Tyler Wallace; brothers, Phil Bailey, of San Angelo, and Charles Bailey, of Mertzon; sisters: Mildred Burns, of San Angelo, Frieda Doss, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Virgie Doss, and Lois Sanders, both of Grape Creek, and Bonnie Parker, of Florida; other relatives and many friends.
