DEATH OF MRS. DANIEL MANNING
Mrs. Daniel Manning (nee Mary Little) died, between 8 and 9 o'clock this morning, at her residence, No. 103 Washington avenue. This sad event was not unexpected, as she had been known for some days past to be seriously ill with typhoid fever. Surrounded by her family, she had the melancholy satisfaction of bidding them farewell on earth, while she was still in possession of her mental faculties. Mrs. Manning was an estimable lady, an affectionate and devoted wife, a kind and indulgent mother, and a good Christian, ever full of sympathy with the suffering and of benevolence for the poor and distressed. Her death is a great affliction to her family and a great loss to society, and will be deeply deplored by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. Her husband and four children (two boys and two girls) survive her, and will have the most earnest sympathy of the whole community in this hour of sorrow.
