Linda Lee Decker, age 64, Of Newton, Illinois passed away at 1:30 AM - Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM – Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Roger Long officiating. Burial will be in the Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton, IL. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service. In loving memory of Linda, memorials may be made to the family.

Linda was born on October 17, 1949 in Newton, IL the daughter of Herbert Eugene and Betty Louise (Durbin) Matlock. Linda worked factory jobs for many years and later worked at the Newton Veterinary Clinic taking care of dogs. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Newton, IL and enjoyed raising birds.

Linda is survived by: 2 Children, Dawn (Jimmy) Chronis of Dunlap, IL and John E. Matlock of Marseilles, IL; Mother, Betty Matlock of Newton, IL; 2 Sisters, Pam Schafer of Newton, IL and Sandy Lamb of Newton, IL

Linda was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
