Edna was born in Cumberland County on February 28, 1935 to Herschel & Mary Etta (Sherwood) Scales. She married Jim Wade on July 20, 1957.
Surviving is her husband, Son Mark (Tracey) Wade and Daughter Brenda (Jim) Nickles both of Greenup; Brother Pete Scales of Greenup; grandchildren Amanda Nickles, Dustin Nickles, Megan Nickles and Katie Wade. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
Edna worked at Browns Shoe Factory in Mattoon for 20 years. Edna also worked at Ettelbricks Shoe Factory and the Cumberland Nursing center when she retired she was an in home care giver for many years. She loved her family and enjoyed playing bingo. Memorials can be made to the Cumberland Rehab Auxiliary Fund.
