William J. "Bill" Lambert, age 89, lifelong Town of Mishicot resident, died Friday afternoon, February 17, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Two Rivers. Bill was born in Manitowoc County on Sept. 22, 1927, son of the late John and Frances (Aulik) Lambert and attended the Kettle Range School in the town of Mishicot. On Dec. 26, 1946, he married Mary Brouchoud at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Together the couple owned and operated their family farm in the town of Mishicot for many years until retiring. Over the years, Bill also worked for Bahr Construction Co., Lakeside Canning Company, and in the mid 60's established the Lambert Sand & Gravel Business. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hunting & fishing; and was also a member of the Pleasant View Gun Club, and several area Cooperatives. Survivors include his wife, Mary; his five children, Diane Greenwood of Combined Locks; Patricia (Peter) Holmes, John (Marlene) Lambert, and Mike (Barbara) Lambert, all of Mishicot; Laurie (Robert) Schetter of Manitowoc; twelve grandchildren include: Julie (Todd) Luckow, Michael Funk, Nicole (Michael) Fictum, Robert (Carolyn) Haese, Jason (Dayna) Holmes, Matthew (Rhonda) Holmes, Christine (Eric) Pongratz, Terri (Justin) Hart, Tom (Jessica) Lambert, William (Alana) Lambert, Adam (Corie) Schetter, Angela (Antoine) Brisson; along with fifteen great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Joanie Lambert of Mishicot. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter & two sons-in-law: Nancy (Harold) Funk, and Wayne Greenwood; one brother, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dennis Drury, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
