Becky grew up on her parent’s dairy in Atascadero, California. She was her daddy’s little helper and always at his side assisting with daily chores. During her youth she participated in 4-H, showing cattle and pigs at the San Luis Obispo County Fair and was an active member of the Atascadero Wranglerettes, a local horse riding club for girls. She earned her Nursing Degree at Cuesta Community College while working as an aide at the Atascadero Hospital. Later, she managed the Radiology Department of Twin Cities Community Hospital for 23 years.
Upon retirement in 1993, she and her husband Maynard moved to Emmett, Idaho. Becky and Maynard lived their dream of operating a family ranch raising registered Angus and Gelbvieh cattle. Becky also served as the Treasurer of the Enterprise and Reed Water Irrigation Districts. Their happiest moments were working together on the ranch, attending bull sales and an occasional fun trip to a casino.
Becky is survived by her son Kevin (Michelle) Potter and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Maynard, by her son, Kristian Matthew Potter and her parents, Lawrence and Mary Mora.
She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was a hard worker and always went out of her way to help family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday February 24, 2017 at the Emmett Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the family ranch in Emmett. Services are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel Emmett.
