Frank H. Atkinson, 50, died yesterday afternoon at the family residence of a heart ailment.
He was born at Samaria, Idaho, November 19, 1906, the son of Frank A. and Margaret Hughes Atkinson. He was educated in the schools of Malad, Idaho and lived there until 1927.
He was married August 5, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple to Lillian Deschamps. She died in 1949.
Mr. Atkinson was a member of the LDS Church and filled a mission in Southern California from 1927 to 1929. Following his mission he settled in Logan and lived there until 1950. In 1950 he moved to Ogden and has lived here since.
He was a member of the High Priest's Quorum of the Farr West Stake. Mr. Atkinson had been a ward teacher and welfare worker and class instructor for the high priests' of the Mound Fort Ward.
He is survived by his parents of Ogden; one son, Frank D. Atkinson, of San Dimas, Calif., and the following daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Shirley) Naylor, Logan; Mrs. Jerry (Beverly) Byington, Overton, Nev.; Mrs. Jay (Lillian) Nielson, Logan, and Elvira Ann Atkinson of Logan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Lois C. Atkinson and Grant E Atkinson, Mesa, Ariz.; Keith E. Atkinson, Ogden; Mrs. Elmer Hadley and Mrs. Claude Treadway, Ogden.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Hall Mortuary Chapel in Logan. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery, directed by Larkin and Sons Mortuary.
