Lt. John Henry Divers parents Christopher Divers born 6 Jan 1708 in St.David, England & Sarah Arnell abt 1715, was an American Revolutionary Officer married Mary Rebecca Greer born 1746 in Baltimore, Co. MD in 10 Jun 1766 at St. John's Parish, Baltimore, MD. They had eight children.

My 2nd great-grandfather Private James Francis Divers 1782-1838 Rockymount, Franklin, Co., Virginia in 1810 he married Elizabeth Harris (1788-1846). His headstone application for an unmarked grave of a veteran in 1937 at a private cemetery near Round Pond Chatham., near Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. Their two sons John & Christopher were on opposite sides.

My great-grandfather Private John Harris Divers Confederate Army born 28 Nov 1829 near Rockymount, Franklin Co. V A died 6 Mar 1891 La Monte, Pettis County, Missouri. He served in the 4th &16th Missouri Infantry. Married Mary Ann Brown 26 Aug 1856 they had eight children. John and his wife were placed in a very old and small Southers cemetery that is not accessible by road. It's located in the midst of a heavily wooded area at the rear of an 80 acre family farm near Knob Noster, Johnson County, Missouri. NE 1201 Rd. Township 46N Range 24W.

My great-granduncle Sergeant Christopher "Kit" Divers Union Army born 22 Dec 1832 near Rockymount, Franklin Co. V A died 30 Aug 1905 in Butler, Bates County, Missouri. Enlisted as a private in Company D, Missouri 45th Infantry Regiment served in Capt. Montgomery's Company A, , Pettis County Regiment, Missouri Home Guard. Then as a 1st Corporal in Company H, 27th Regiment Missouri Mounted Infantry. He married on 28 Jun 1854 Letitia Ramey Wasson born 15 Apr 1833 died 18 Feb 1899. Both located at Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Bates, Missouri. Plot: Section 12, Block 389-390.
