While at Park City High School, Bryan met the love of his life, Dorothy Jennings, and knew she was the girl he would marry. On November 3, 1941, they were married in Park City while he was on leave from the Army. Bryan and Dorothy were blessed with their only daughter, Pamela, who was the light of their life.
Bryan, Dorothy and Pam moved to San Luis Obispo, California in 1945 where he was employed at Sowers' Market. In 1960 he decided to do a career change and started working for Prudential Insurance. He was employed with them for the next thirty plus years.
From an early age, Bryan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always looking for that elusive "big catch" and traveled the world in search of the "catch of a lifetime." His fishing trips took him from Alaska to New Zealand. His love for the rivers of the western states, the ocean, and the camaraderie of his companions gave him great pleasure to continue these hobbies for a life time.
