GLOVER, Shirley Ann – age 90 passed away on February 17, 2017 in Saginaw, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 with one hour of visitation prior to at First Church of the Nazarene- 3000 Davenport Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan with Pastor John Obrecht officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 2pm – 8pm at Oakwood Mausoleum – 5950 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Shirley was born on April 13, 1926 in Caro, Michigan to Ervin and Mae Simerson. In 1947, Shirley married Stanley Glover in Saginaw, Michigan. She loved to crochet, do crafts, and play "the marble game" with her friends and family. She was an expert at canning. Many hours were spent creating special canned goods for all to enjoy. Shirley was an extremely hardworking, driven, and loving person. She would help any person or furry animal that was in need. Shirley was a wonderful woman who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her daughter, Penny (Daniel) Sizick; grandchildren: Heather (Mark) Clifton, Heath (Janell) Sizick; great-grandchildren: Matthew Marinaro, Elise Sizick, Samuel Sizick, Cooper Sizick, Faith Sizick; siblings: Marilyn Case, Darwin (Iris) Simerson, Darrell Simerson Sr., Richard (Donna) Simerson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Glover; Son, Lonny Glover; brothers: Dwain, Galen, and Gary. The family would like to send a special thank you to Sandra Schluckebier who took great care of Shirley in her time of need, and to Richard and Donna Simerson.
