James L. “Jim” Clawson, 69, Williamsburg, died Thursday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Lester Parks and Martha (Shade) Clawson. He was married to Doris J. Ott, who preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 1987.

Surviving are his loving companion, Ruth; a daughter, Helen and husband, Jim Hileman; two sons: Brian Williams (Jane) and Kenneth Williams (Jackie); eight grandchildren: Andrea and Katie Hileman, Jessica Aman, Jennifer Hockenos and Steven, Robert, Michelle and Julia Williams; a sister, Dorothy Price and husband, Tom; a brother, Ronald “Butch” Clawson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Barnes; and two brothers: Robert and Dick Clowson.

In 2013, Jim retired as a truck driver for D.C. Ventre & Sons, Duncansville. He enjoyed cooking and antique cars.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at the funeral home, Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
