Mr. Weatherford was born February 19, 1927, in Georgetown, SC. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was retired from International Paper after 50 years of service.
He was survived by two sons, John M. Weatherford of Georgetown and David A. Weatherford (Beth) of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Linda W. Palumbo (Micheal) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Lillie Weatherford, Grayson Weatherford, Alex Palumbo, and John Palumbo; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Tuesday February 21, 2017, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family received friends after the service in the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Lowcountry Autism Foundation, 135 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, South Carolina 29425.
